Palmer, Alaska-based photographer and multimedia producer Stephen Nowers founded Alaska Photo & Design in 2009 after taking a buyout from his photojournalism position at the Anchorage Daily News. His company provides web design services in addition to corporate and editorial photography and videography.
He is also an adjunct instructor in the journalism department of the University of Alaska Anchorage (Fall 2009 class is JPC 342: Photojournalism) and, when time permits, he responds as a lieutenant with the Central Mat-Su Fire Department in Wasilla, Alaska.
